Because of political candidates, bashful comments many citizens have protested and gone against each other in their own neighborhoods because of the harshness of our current presidential candidates. It is important to use your given social justice to take positive advantages of the privileges this country has given our citizens. Unfortunately, not all people have taken social justice and used it ‘…as the path of faith, the path of hope, and the path of love toward our fellow man’, as the late President Franklin D. Roosevelt once said. As a U.S. citizen, it is important for me to stand up against the challenges of today’s society especially as an African American woman, which qualifies me to fall under two categories of minorities. It is important to not limit myself to society’s beliefs and practice social justice and teach others about the justice that we have as U.S. Citizens. I want equal opportunity, not just for the people in my community, women, and African American. But, I want equality and social justice for all people. Each individual that lives in this free country deserves the right to be treated fairly. Americans have to take a stand against the challenges that we are facing in our country. This is not only a social matter but it is a call to effectively changing the obstacles that once held us back, the one we are facing and make sure that generations to come never have to experience social
