Like when person goes to a job interview wearing a muscle shirt and shorts for a job that requires you to cook food. Or when a person wears super fancy clothes to an interview that requires you to clean bathrooms. “Dressing for success” is like a guide telling you what you might need to wear to make a good impression.Dress for success means to dress for the occasion. You want to dress for the occasion because you don’t want be out-of-order. An example of this is going to church in pajamas. That is an example of dressing out-of-order.

Most people measure success monetarily. We spend the majority of our lives working towards success (“Defining success”). The word “success” is defined in the Merriam Webster dictionary as the attainment of wealth, favor, or eminence. Individuals who would be considered successful in this generation are Kim Kardashian or even Justin Bieber. These celebrities simply live in the moment, without thinking about what their goals are. Everyone wants to be known for something. Success takes several different forms but because of societal issues we have lost sight of its true definition. “Hey! You in the back turn around! Yes, you, turn around! All right then, now that everyone is here, we can get started. I know that none of you want to be here, but I am here to change your minds, more like change your lives. Doesn’t everyone like story time?” He says. The room seems to be empty, but then again it just so happens to be filled with 15 of New York’s finest delinquents. “I’m not asking you to give me a limb, but I’m just asking for you to listen to me. I only get half an hour before you get carted back to wherever they keep you, so let’s get started.” He exclaims. After seeing the group of kids he got today, he thinks to himself, oh god, how I am going to convince these kids to change their ways. There is no way I can, but I can always give it a shot. “I was going to start with ‘Once upon a time’ but I know you don’t care for that very much, so I’ll start from the beginning. It all started when I was real young, well actually right around your age. I was your typical dorky Boy Scout, but then again, I really wasn’t. I wasn’t really ‘Normal’ by anyone’s standards. I was on par with everyone else my age in my troop. I was in a few honor’s classes, but not too many to make me a nerd. What balanced all of this dorkiness out was that I played three sports and was good at them too. But this is not a story about my life as a child, it’s about something else. Something all of you need.”…

Forgiveness by the World English Dictionary is the “act of forgiving; state of being forgiven, disposition or willingness to forgive”. But what does it really mean? That is my question. Is being able to forgive and not forget the same thing? In my life, I have found that true forgiveness is a quality that separates us from other species and it is what makes us human. In order to truly and sincerely forgive, one must, aside from saying they have forgiven the person, let it go and not hold a grudge against that person. Just, as Mahatma Gandhi once said: “The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong." I believe that holds to be true.…

The media and today's society have brainwashed the citizens of the world to believe the deceit that in order to be successful you need to have the largest house, newest car, clothes, five star dining, and to travel every other month. This is how success is defined, this is what many aim for. But it is not however how I was raised, my mom taught me that the definition of success, similar to life is in the eye of the beholder, and most importantly success should be a synonym for a person's happiness. You can drive a Bentley and live in a million dollar, but you're not truly successful you love what you do, and love accomplishing your goals more than receiving the award.…
