Definition Essay Hero
“A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself,” (Joseph Campbell). According to Dictionary.com a hero is a person noted for courageous acts or nobillty of character. On the contrary, my definition of a hero is an individual with a humongous soul who wants to make a difference in the world. There are many examples of a heroes in our modern day society. For instance, a hero can be the brave, courageous, and valiant men and women that serve in our military. A hero can also be a firefighter rescuing a cat from a tree, or people from a burning building. In addition, a police officer is a hero. They fight battles in the very streets we call home.
