Definition Essay: How Would You Define Success?
What is success?
Everyone knows what success means. It means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. Money? Power? Wealth? Fame?
We ourselves can answer the above question and not others because it is based on or influenced by personal feelings, tastes, or opinions. And it cannot mean the same thing to two different people. Even if I try my best to define, it is actually not possible. Everyone on this planet has his or her different perspective to become successful. When people think of success they usually end up thinking about social status, attaining wealth, happiness, and accomplishment. Indeed, success can include all of these things and more.
In order to be successful, it is indispensable that you know exactly how to define success in your life! One must have personal definition of what success means to you, and then set goals accordingly. Once you deduce what is important for you personally you are able to focus on your visions and goals which will help you to achieve them in a true sense. …show more content…
Instead of making yourself feel embarrassed through your career, your business and the rest of your life and miss all the success you are creating along the way if you are too busy pursuing the wrong definition - one that didn’t match your values.
Somehow, if we fail to define and understand the real meaning of success in our own life and try to pursue someone else’s path, we’ll end up frustrated, unhappy and ultimately feeling deeply unsuccessful.
