Confidence, a word used daily yet commonly misunderstood. Throughout generations confidence levels decrease due to unrealistic expectations of how skinny someone should be to how parents should raise their children. For me, confidence was something I have always lacked during my high school career because I was constantly trying to fit in. Lacking confidence lead me to not achieve grades and test scores I have wanted. In the classroom I have excellent grades, as I begin to take test my confident level goes down, I second-guess myself and that is why my overall grades go down to B’s and C’s. Being a softball athlete for more than 10 years your obligation is to have confidence in the plays you execute and in the batters box. Outfield
was my second home, every time I ran onto the field I felt secure, for once I felt equal with everyone.
