I believe that this is important to my audience because most of them are college students. During their academic career they are going to have many, many, chances to “fail”. So I am trying to define what it would really mean to them if they were to “fail” and why failure does not mean that you are a failure. Also to the faculty and staff, If a student fails the professor's class does that mean that the professor failed to teach them correctly, did they let their student, did they in turn become failures?
My claim would be that failure is not a definition of a person but a stepping stone …show more content…
That is something you would here in an argument. “This man failed his college classes, he is a failure, he’ll never amount to anything”. Some people will say if you fail once you are a failure. I have heard this time and time again and it is people like this that keep the greatest minds in history from being successful. However, if a man does succumb to the pressure of these outside voices and really does give up, he then really has become the failure they said he was.
I believe that i'll define failure by giving examples of “failures” and asking a lot of questions. Some examples of this are… Was Milton Hershey a failure? He had three failed candy companies. So he must of been a failure, But if he was a failure how did he become THE MAN you think about when you think about chocolate? I'll be going to prove what a Failure is not also.
I'll be using some research when using examples such as Milton Hershey. The reason i'll being doing this research is to make sure my facts are right. The simplest was to discredit someone is to prove their facts and examples are wrong. So I'll be trying to prevent that and make my definition as reputable as
