What is indifference? Objectively, the dictionary defines indifference as lack of interest, concern, or sympathy. All people around the world have at least once been indifferent. They may have just thought that something was none of their business or pretended not to notice an event they chose not to be part of. To go deeper into the question of what is indifference, there is a need to know when indifference is used in an appropriate situation, when it gives harm, and how it is being applied to people’s lives. There are many situations where indifference is necessary. One should be indifferent when he is trying to give personal space to the other person, or he does not want the other person to be embarrassed of his or her actions. For example,
when there is a person sitting alone looking like he is thinking and worrying about his life, sometimes it is better to be indifferent even though one may be curious about all his worries. Also, stepping into another person’s business is never a good idea, so indifference is the answer to these situations.
