Whether you believe in a God or not, it changes our point of view on a lot of topics that we wouldn’t expect. I mean, when people first settled in our country they wanted to get away from religious persecution! These 700 hundred years of religious freedom wasn’t going to go to waste by letting another person or country take over us. We fought for everything, so now you could go to church every Sunday and praise your God. Or not go to church at all and worship want or whoever you want. So many people are thankful for these things without even knowing that our Veterans shaped our country to be like this.
Think about your best friend. Are they the same race or ethnicity? They probably came from a different country than you and maybe have different religious beliefs. Why is this possible? Because we have people that care for us and want us to be happy. We have so many different races and cultures because we are a free country, thanks to our Veterans. This type of quality has the most weight on the topic, but why? Because you are lighter skinned or darker? Most of this segregation has been stopped through public figures and our Veterans.
After hearing about all this freedom we have, has your definition of equality changed? After reading the definition in our dictionary, I decided to Google the word equality.
