A simple smile or an encouraging hug can change the world for that person. As a Christian, I have grown up in a loving environment where I am very privileged and have many resources at my fingertips. My moms brought me up on the moto, “see a need, fill a need.” It is a lesson I have taken in stride, even in the little things of life. There have been many times where I have held a door open for a mom with young children or have comforted young children, providing my shoulder for them to cry on when they were scared.
