Definition Of Kindness

The definition of kindness is “the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate.” Other words for it are affection, warmth, gentleness, concern, and care. An individual can be kind to another by going out of their way to show them that someone cares, or performing a specific act for the other person. They have to put other people above their needs and desires. This is something many people struggle with because they are only concerned with themselves. It is not always easy to make a point to do something for another individual, but it is a crucial part of being a human on a planet that we all share. As a part of something much greater than ourselves, we must learn how to be kind to other people, regardless of sexual orientation, skin color, or religious background.
A simple smile or an encouraging hug can change the world for that person. As a Christian, I have grown up in a loving environment where I am very privileged and have many resources at my fingertips. My moms brought me up on the moto, “see a need, fill a need.” It is a lesson I have taken in stride, even in the little things of life. There have been many times where I have held a door open for a mom with young children or have comforted young children, providing my shoulder for them to cry on when they were scared. I have tutored many people throughout my time in school, from my peers to children at work and have loved every minute of it. I have given countless hugs or smiles from across the room when people have had a frown on their
