Only the partial location information like the distance between the nodes is used. Redundant nodes are identified using the depth of angle formed between any two nodes. The boundary nodes of the hole along with their one hop neighbors take part in the healing process. This fastens the healing process with reduced energy consumption. …show more content…
SYSTEM MODEL 3.1 Network assumptions
The sensing model has a rectangular region of area ‘A’ with side being ‘S’.Nodes are deployed in a uniformly random distribution .The nodes are assumed to have sensing radius of uniform circular disk pattern given by nSR and the communication range is nTR ≥ nSR. All nodes are considered to be homogeneous with same resources and are mobile. The coverage hole identified in this location unaware network is assumed to be inside the area and not on the boundary. Since there are no positioning techniques used only the Euclidean distance and the angle between each node and two of its references are alone known. The reference nodes are randomly fixed for each coverage hole. More than one coverage hole is identified and the respective group of nodes are segregated with exact node ID of all the hole boundary nodes.

a) Sensing range (nSR) and Communication range (nTR):
Sensing range of a node is the circular disk of radius nSR, which is centered at its location. The antenna is assumed to be an isotropic one radiating radially with equal strength with .Communication range of a node is the circular disk of radius nTR, where nTR ≥
