deleted scene macbeth
(At the Coronation)

Banquo: Ross, be nice.

Ross: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

(Enter Macbeth & Lady Macbeth, play classical music)

Ross: Hello, you two.

Banquo: Thanks for showing up guys.

Macbeth: Of course, we wouldn’t miss this.

Lady Macbeth: Thanks for having us, we would’ve been here sooner but my husband was running late. I had to drag him out of the house.

Ross: Let’s get on with this.

(On stage, short speech by Ross)

Ross: The reason why we’re all here tonight is to celebrate the crowing of our new king. Even though we have lost one remarkable king, we have gained Macbeth, who hopefully does as much a great job as Duncan has. As we all know, Donaldbain & Malcom have left without a word. So next in line is Macbeth. Scotland is doing well, I’m sure Macbeth will not disappoint us. Macbeth will you do us the honour of becoming our king?

(Ross crowns Macbeth, Enter Duncan’s ghost)

Macbeth: Thank you, thank you. I am honoured. It is sad that we’ve lost Duncan. But he would want us to move on with life. I will do my best to keep up Scotland’s great reputation. I know I’m not the heir to the crown, but I will do all that I can to keep Scotland running smoothly. I have always looked up to King Duncan, I hope you all can look up to me.

Macbeth’s Coronation

(Before Macbeth’s Coronation)

(Enter Ross & Banquo)

Ross: Man this really sucks, we’ve lost our King.

Banquo: I know we have, but don’t worry I’m sure Macbeth will be just as good.

Ross: But the real heir to the crown is Donaldbain & Malcom.

Banquo: What are you talking about? They’ve left without

    6. Compare Macbeth’s character with Banquo’s as revealed in their reaction to the witches. Macbeth seems a bit fearful of the prophecy at first. Banquo notices and asks him why he fears “Things that sound so fair” (1.3.55). After the initial reaction, Macbeth is very curious and wants the witches to tell him more. However, the witches vanish and Macbeth is left wishing they had stayed to explain more. This shows his greed for power. On the other hand, Banquo, although also excited, is a bit…

My son Malcolm informed me today that the former Thane of Cawdor has died. In my opinion, he got what he deserved after he arrogantly betrayed us. But before dying he asked for my forgiveness and he was deeply sorry. I shall never forgive that traitor and may he burn in hell for his disloyalty. He is a disgrace to his clan and all of Scotland. After a while, my subjects, including Macbeth came. I was so happy with Macbeth, what he did can never be repaid. I praised him in front of my subjects, so they can view him as role model. Banquo's actions were also good but they cannot be compared to Macbeth's actions . Before they left, I made an important announcement. I've declared my son Malcolm to be heir to the throne. From now on he'll be the…

Your Highness’ part / Is to receive our duties, and our duties / Are to your throne and state children and servants, / Which do but what they should by doing everything / Safe toward your love and honor” (1.4.25-30). Once again, Macbeth’s loyalty to the King is a key example of what supplement his excellence in leadership. Finally, Macbeth has gallant and shows determination when King Duncan states, “True, worthy Banquo. He is full so valiant. / And in his commendations I am fed: / It is a banquet to me. -Let’s after him, / Whose care is gone before to bid us welcome. / It is a peerless kinsman,” (1. 4. 61-65) also implying that he highly respects Macbeth. In conclusion, Macbeth is admired for his outstanding characteristics of leadership that include loyalty, trust, courage, and…

Today is going to be a great day for the history of Scotland. After much tragedy, caused by the greed of the worst kind of men, order will finally be reestablished with the coronation of our new king: Macbeth. I, Ross, and all of the other noblemen of Scotland were invited to his castle for supper as part of the coronation tradition. I have concerns, however, about this whole ordeal, and that concern is shared amongst a handful of the other noblemen. Macbeth is certainly a worthy warrior, and his status in combat is proven and legendary. His capability to lead an empire, though, is not something that will have me rest easy. There is a reason that the warriors and kings are often different people. I hope Macbeth is an exception to this.…
