Dementia is caused by damage in the brain. The most common causes of dementia are called neurodegenerative diseases, and include Alzheimer's disease, frontotemporal dementia, and dementia with Lewy bodies
Describe at least 6 types of memory impairments that an individual could experience with dementia. O1.2
Very mild cognitive decline
The person may feel as if he or she is having memory lapses — forgetting familiar words or the location of everyday objects

Friends, family or co-workers begin to notice difficulties.
Noticeable problems coming up with the right word or name
Trouble remembering names when introduced to new people
