Chapter 1
INTRODUCTION
This chapter presents the project context, which shows the justification and origins of the study; background of the study, which shows the main goals and aims why the study is conducted; scope and limitations, which show the strengths and weakness of the study and covers the limit or the extent of the study; and significance of the study, shows the importance of the study and its beneficiaries.
Project Context
The project focuses mainly on generating patient information reports and providing them an efficient way of storing and getting information. The Billing system, which is a solution for the inaccuracies that are currently happening with the use of manual computations, not only for the dental clinic’s bills, but also for the transactions with customers.
The project is made to be LAN-based to give an efficient and time saving service for the dental clinic in order for them to operate smoothly and hustle free. Since the rooms of the users are all separated, it is best for them to use the LAN-based system for security and conduct an efficient operation especially when there are many customers for a particular day considering the security that they will have since the information will only flow around the computers that they will use.
The project will make use of the efficient task distribution for every employee without hustle not like before when they are using manual processes for resolving the work overload issue on their employees.
Project Description The researchers created a patient information and billing system for Perfect Smile Dental Clinic to solve the problems of the client such as information loss, storage space problems, calculation inaccuracies and security of information, evaluated thoroughly to meet the standards in making such a project and to give the dental clinic an efficient flow, storage and security of information through the use of patient information and billing system, prevent miscalculations for
