Dental implants are not just for younger people. As a senior, you can benefit from them too, especially if you have dentures that constantly slip and bother you. Depending on your situation, you may be able to have implants put on your current dentures, which will save some money. You may also be a good candidate for mini-implants, which helps you avoid the need for a bone graft if you have bone loss in your

Denti-Cal is a program through Medi-Cal that helps low-income individuals. Unfortunately, this program was not active in California between 2009-2014 (Wiener, 2017). However, the program was brought back in 2015, but the new program is not cutting it. Denti-Cal has many holes that include low reimbursement rates, restrictive rules, and only a handful of Denti-Cal providers (Wiener, 2017).
