The Justice Department just released a comprehensive report that provides an overview of the Civil Rights Division’s police reform. The report, is designed to serve as a resource for local law enforcement agencies and communities by making the division’s police reform work more accessible and transparent. It examines a range of topics, including the history and purpose, negotiation of reform agreements, and community-police trust. The Civil Rights Division has opened 25 investigations into law enforcement agencies and is currently enforcing 19 agreements, including 14 consent decrees and one post-judgment order.

This demonstration is part of a comprehensive effort to integrate behavioral health with physical health care, increase consistent use of evidence-based practices, and improve access to high quality care for people with mental and substance use disorders.
The Department of Homeland Security’s Unity of Effort initiative aims to make the Department greater than the sum of its parts. DHS is an interconnected organization whose different pieces fit together in the pursuit of a common mission: protect the homeland. In support of the mission of making the United States the greatest nation in the world. Not only do departments have to work hard to benefit the government, they must work together to benefit the society as a whole to protect Americans. All the Departments have the same goal, which is to help America prosper, so they all work together to strive for the goal. An example of how they all work together is when the U.S. Departments of Housing and Urban Development and Education are joined forces to improve education in literacy in the youth. Although all of the departments have special tasks and responsibilities all of them combined create an unstoppable nation prepared to challenge any task in its way.
