Title of The study:A Study of Deposit Mobilization With Reference To Nationalized Banks.
INTRODUCTION
This project is mainly concerned with the deposit section of nationalized banks. The main objective was to study the various deposit schemes offered by nationalized banks for mobilizing deposits from public.
Deposit mobilization means attracting deposits from investors. Another area of progress of banks is the acceleration of deposit mobilization. Deposit mobilization effort by banks have not been adequate to meet the needs of the present economic environment. Yet there is a vast scope for mobilizing deposits from different sectors of the economy, particularly in rural areas. Most of the deposit mobilization schemes are now tailored to the convenience and preference of the urban depositors, neglecting the potential rural depositors. The banks have to tailor the schemes to match in nature, convenience, preference and the needs of the rural depositors to be able to exploit the untapped rural savings.
