Depression
Depression is understood as a mood disorder that causes feeling of sadness and loss of interest. Also, depression not only involves the mind, it also involves the body and thoughts. It affects the way you use to do your personals habits. Also, it affects the way you feel about yourself, and the way you think in general. People with this disease tents to feel, that everything is all over the place. Depression is a very dangerous disease which can cost the life of a person. Depression has been determined with risk factors, prevention, and disparities.
Depression tents to happen at any age of people life. In my family, my cousin was 12 years old when she was diagnostic as a depressant person. He’s trauma began when she was declare diabetic. For example, “Individuals at increased risk for depression are considered at risk throughout their lifetime. Groups at increased risk include persons with other psychiatric disorders, including substance misuse; persons with a family history of depression; persons with chronic medical diseases; and persons who are unemployed or of lower socioeconomic status. Also, women are at increased risk compared with men” (Pignone, Gaynes, and Rushton p. 785). This quote shows that definitely psychological factors place people at risk for depression. People with low self-esteem, tents to be isolate. In addition, research had determinate that women experience depression more than men. This illness runs in families. For example, “Also, women are at increased risk compared with men. Significant depressive symptoms are associated with common life events in older adults, including medical illness, cognitive decline, bereavement, and institutional placement in residential or inpatient settings.
