Depression relates to physical, social, and emotional aspects of health. Depression can cause physical health problems such as trouble sleeping and disturbed sleeping patterns, which results in lack of energy, difficulty concentrating, and difficulty remembering things. Another physical health problem that is caused by depression is having no appetite or eating more or less than normal, that can cause weight gain/loss, and headaches or upset stomachs. Depression affects your social health, making you potentially lose friends and decrease your performance at school. You stop socialising with others because you feel less confident about yourself and therefore are less likely to make an effort to keep friendships or make new friends. Depression is known as a mental disease, but this mental disease also affects your emotional health because you are always feeling sad and you lose confidence in yourself. This, however, affects your physical and social health as you might have a decreased or increased appetite and lose sleep which influences your physical health. With lack of sleep and no confidence in yourself, it might make you lose friends or you will at least not make an effort in making new ones. All sides of health are affected by depression and that is why it is so important to educate teenagers and make them aware of the symptoms and how to get help if they need
