Wheal= A small swelling on the skin, as from an insect bite, that usually itches or burns. 7. Abscess= a localized collection of pus formed as the product of inflammation and usually caused by bacteria 8. Pediculosis-Infestation with lice. 9. Biopsy The removal and examination of a sample of tissue from a living body for diagnostic purposes 10. Papular A small, solid, usually inflammatory elevation of the skin that does not contain pus. 11. Cryosurgery- surgery involving the local destruction of tissues by quick freezing for therapeutic benefit 12. Pruritus- Severe itching, often of undamaged skin. 13. Dermabrasion- A surgical procedure designed to remove skin imperfections, such as scars, by abrading the surface of the skin with fine sandpaper or wire brushes. 14. Petechia a minute discoloured spot on the surface of the skin or mucous membrane, caused by an underlying ruptured blood vessel 15. Erythema Redness of the skin caused by dilatation and congestion of the capillaries, often a sign of inflammation or infection. 16.
