A perfect instance of someone’s interests changing as they grow involves a man named Burnie Burns. Determined to pursue a career in medicine, Burns was a member of Health Occupations Students of America during high school and spent a semester of his senior year making rotations at a local hospital. After gaining entry into University of Texas, he changed his pre-health major and eventually graduated with a BA in Computer Science. Burnie also worked on the campus radio network and made a feature-length film with fellow classmates. Today, Burnie Burns is the owner and co-founder of one of the most successful and innovative production companies in new media: Rooster Teeth Productions. Burnie’s answer to the question of, “What is your lifetime goal?” would no doubt have been very different as an 18 year old when compared to his college or post-collegiate self. We as humans are inconsistent in our desires and pleasures so it is unrealistic for us to expect to find what our calling in life is so early into
