Dissolved Oxygen
Dissolved oxygen in lakes rivers and oceans are sometimes bad for the living things living in it. As to much dissolved oxygen kills the living things living in the water body. Dissolved oxygen is measured by ‘ppm’. The acceptable range for dissolved oxygen is 4ppm.

High and low pHs can be detrimental for the use of water. A high pH could cause a bitter taste to the water. The water-using appliances could become encrusted with deposits and it depresses the effectiveness of the disinfection of chlorine. Then there will be the need for additional chlorine if pH is high.
