Throughout my life there has been evidence indicating the reproduction of my race in which as I classify as white. Race comes into play a lot regarding identification forms and specifically in the media lately with issues such as equality, but I have never had any instances, whether bad or good, that make me think I was put in a certain position because of my race. Luckily, I have never been a victim of discrimination or have seen obvious discrimination occur. On the other hand, because I have never experienced any racial issues that affects my life, this could also show the evidence in reproduction of my race. Often times the majority group, in this case the White race, can be oblivious to the many challenges that minority groups experience as a weaker crowd and the majority can face very little, if any, issues regarding their race. So, in this case, it is feasible for me to state that I am blind to the benefits I receive due to the race I am or I simply could not have experienced any clear benefits that were reproduced simply by the social construct of race created by the color of our skin. My family has shared our ancestral and racial information through the generations out of pride, but have nothing to show for it. Because of this and the limited means of reproduction of race and ethnicity, it is evident to see that race plays a little role in my life along with my symbolic ethnicities.
