Personal statement- Essay Born in Ethiopia, I came to the united states 4 years ago wanting a better life and education. 3 years later I started taking classes at Community Collage of Aurora. Back in my country I joined to a university and got into a nursing program and about 3 month later I got a chance (diversity visa Lottery) to come the united states. During my early ages, I was awakened to the realization that one’s life can only be made worthy through service to others. And it is always my fervent wish to be part in the caring, for the world’s greatest treasure and in contributing to the advancement of human kind specifically in the field of health. •Describe your perceptions and attitude about nursing today. During three years as a cashier, I realized that I was not quite satisfied with my current career. The next step was nursing school. It offers incredible carrier options based on experience and education level. While every job has its ups and downs, the demands and rewards of nursing can be a little more drastic depending on the setting. Since every shift brings brand new challenges it’s expected to take full responsibility for the quality of patient care. I noticed that there are many obstacles to overcome in order to reach my career goal.
