I interacted with the kids on the following dates: September 29th from 6:30-8:30 (parent meeting), October 6th from 2 p.m. -6 p.m. at TCU, November 10th from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. at Broadway Baptist and the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens and most recently December 1st from 2 p.m.- 6 p.m. at UNT Health Science Center. Each event is structured where the kids get dropped off by school buses, hear about a leadership practice from me and then listen to other announcements for about 25 minutes, do the activity the location has preset up and then have dinner and leave on buses to go to their …show more content…
In regard to development, most of the kids I work with have begun to go through the stages of puberty and growth. “William” appears to have hit a growth spurt and seems to grow a couple inches every month, his voice however has either yet to mature or is just extremely soft, so it’ll be interesting to see if his voice develops more over the course of the year. He also seems to be one of my most clumsy 8th graders, often running into things or tripping. I believe this is probably because of his growth spurt, so there’s a level of bodily self-awareness he may still getting used to while his growth continues to
