The Maze Runner's main issue is being trapped in the Glade inside the dangerous maze. Most of the people have been stuck there for two years by the creators of the Maze (W.I.C.K.E.D.). The only safe place in the Maze is the Glade which by the end is not so safe due to W.I.C.K.E.D no longer shutting the gates. The Maze is filled with Grievers that can and will kill all the people they can, this makes the maze extremely dangerous and also difficult to escape.
