Descriptive Essay: A Trip To Port Orange
Imagine a sun rise on the ocean waves, beautiful shades of orange swirling on the surface of the water. This perfect start of the day is only the beginning of the fun activities that you have planned ahead, because in Port Orange, the possibilities are limitless. Here you will find all kinds of attractions and shops to spend your time at. From a botanical garden to a large shopping center filled with various stores, restaurants, and even a movie theater. Before we get too far ahead of ourselves though, lets pick a starting point for your quick tour of the Port Orange area.
Located just off of I-95, you are going to find the Pavilion, a large scale shopping center with a store for everyone. You can get some clothes shopping done at Rue 21 …show more content…
and Marshalls before getting your nails down at Venus Nails & Spa. Why not complete the bundle with a trip to Sally Beautiful Supply for some top grade hair treatment? Finish it off with a delicious steak at Texas Roadhouse, or a gigantic slice of pizza from Gabbie’s Pizza. Top it off with a flick at the Hollywood Theaters and you could make an entire day out of the Pavilion. Not to mention the stores we listed here, don’t even make up a quarter of all the stores you can find there. Traveling up I-95 you will find many of the major retailers such as Wal-Mart, Target, BJs, along with several more restaurants such as Panera Bread and Chipotles.
It is when you get to Nova Rd that you enter into a long road of shops both big and small. Clothes to groceries and everything in between are on one side or the other of Nova Rd. Just off of Nova Rd you will find the Sugar Mill botanical gardens, just a small drive up Old Sugar Mill Rd.
It is here you will find a beautiful, historical, and magical place that is great for all ages. Hidden in the garden are large dinosaur statues to capture the wonder of the younger visitors, and plenty of flower filled pathways for a romantic stroll. See pieces of history when you walk by pieces of an old sugar mill. Remember to bring a camera, because you are sure to find plenty to photograph while you're here. If you want to make a memory that will really last forever, you can have your wedding in the botanical garden.
If you decide to travel past Nova rd, you will come to the Dunlawton bridge that leads into the beach areas of Daytona Beach Shores. Before you cross though, take a moment to explore the bridge itself. Each side has an park area complete with piers for you to go over the water. From these locations, you can see most of Daytona Beach Shores, making a perfect place to snap some shots or drop a fishing line
into. Finally, once you make it over the bridge and enter Daytona Beach Shores from Port Orange, you are a straight drive to the beaches to finish off your day with some sand and sun. As the sun starts to set behind you, it doesn’t mean it’s time to head home. Port Orange has plenty of bars and restaurants for a few quick drinks to pass the night with. If your a race fan, take a trip to Racings North Turn Beach Bar and Grill, decorated with all kinds of racing memorabilia.
