Descriptive Paper
1. What references did you find for your topic? Where and how did you find?
I found two (2) references for my topic, which is a book and a web page. I found both references by searching my topic on google. I scanned most of the results, and chose the one that I think would be the most helpful to me.
2. What problems did you encounter while searching for references?
A problem that I’ve encountered while searching for references was finding a good references but lacking information about my topic. Another problem that I’ve encountered was when I found a great reference, but the reference that I found was the same type of reference of my 1st reference.
3. How would you describe each reference as to the (a) recency of info it contained (b) accuracy of info (c) authority (d) amount and quality of info given?
a) I actually found very recent references which were in the year 2011 and 2012. b) Both references both had accurate info because both references didn’t have a large gap in terms of recency. c) The authors of my first reference is Nick Hunter. The author of my second reference is Kimberly S. Young and Cristiano Nabuco de Abreu. I think the authors aren’t very famous, but their works are very reliable. d) Both references gave a good amount of information given. They also have great quality of the information they give.
4. What reading strategies did you use to get the info that you need from your references?
I used scanning as my reading strategy, because I wouldn’t have time to read the whole book. I scanned the book by looking at the table of contents and and searching for the key words that I
