Descriptive paragraph
Ring! Ring! Ring! I was as relieved and happy as the bell rang on the last day of school so I could finally leave. Because I knew my summer break was going to be wonderful.

First, I went to Alabama for three weeks to visit my Aunt Shirley. I had so much fun. When she saw me she said “My how you’ve gotten so tall’ I said Yes I have almost tall enough to play Basketball” we both laughed. Considering the fact that was 4’10 at the time. We had a good time Cooking, Shopping, visiting relatives and swimming in the Gulf of Mexico. It’s always great to visit my favorite Aunt.

When I got back home. I stayed up really late most nights watching scary movies and taking on the phone. At that time I loved scary movies. My Dad would say “Those scary movies are what keep you up all night” But he let me watch them considering it was Summer I didn’t have to get up for school. Staying up late was the Best!

Finally, I did my favorite activity of the summer. I made a few scrapbooks, I had shoe boxes full of pictures from every memorable moment just waiting for me to turn them in pretty Scrapbook pages. I missed my classmates from school so I took joy into putting colorful pages together to not let me forget all the good times we had. I made some imaginary scrapbook pages.
I like School, but I love summer break it’s really the best time of the year besides Christmas. I wish it would never end.

The best thing about my summer was obviously when my baby sister Ava was born! Which was July 30th and 7:43 pm. It feels like just yesterday I was finding out I was going to be a big sister. Back in January 2015, I was very nervous at first but then I got used to it and started to get thrilled by having a sibling. Now she is here and I love her with all my heart!…

Compare and Contrast the writings of Confucius, Hammurabi, and the book of the dead

Three of the most famous writings from ancient civilizations are the writings of Confucius, Hammurabi's code of laws, and Egypt's Book of the Dead. At first, they seem very different, they're from different times, regions, and religions, but they all offer a peek into what values ancient people considered important.

One of the values that all three civilizations is justice and fairness. I feel that this is best viewed in Hammurabi's laws. All of the penalties for the crimes are very stiff, but fair. I feel that it is fair that "If he has broken the limb of a patrician, his limb shall be broken" It's like in the Bible "An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth." In Egypt, in the Book of the Dead, a man couldn't proceed into the after life unless he was found innocent of any wrong doing on Earth. In Confucius' writings, he never actually says the word "justice", but he does say "Great Man cherishes excellence; Petty Man, his own comfort. Great Man cherishes the rules and regulations; Petty Man special favors." To me, that mean "Great Man is fair, Petty man is unfair."

The second of these three values is responsibility and respect to one's family and elders, and responsibility and respect to others families and elders. This is most evident in Confucius' writings. He is constantly stressing family values and responsibility. One quote that shows this is "Let the sole sorry of your parents be that you might become ill."This stresses personal responsibility and respect to your parents. Hammurabi showed responsibility by saying "If a builder has built a house for a man, and has not made his work sound, and the house he built has fallen, and caused the death of the man's son, the builder's son shall be put to death." That quote shows a man's responsibility for himself and his family. In Egypt, during the ritual of the…

Some Sumer activities that I like to do or achieve for the school break are having fun with my friends and family and play. On really hot days we go down to the lake and play in the water or go fishing. I also like to play with my dog and go for walks with her if I'm not dragging her all the way there and back. Sometimes I do work with my dad most of the times it involves a lot of elbow grease. I love to do fun activities with my mom that does relate a little work, at the end she gets us a treat. On the days I'm not doing anything I go out with friends or they come to my house, and if I'm good we go to get air, other wise, we just watch movies and relax. On other days when we are in the garden I like to swim, maybe even play with the sprinklers and bother my brothers.…

This was the last couple times that I could hang-out with my high school friends before we walked our way to the graduation; we better did something fun! However, there was really nothing, yes, nothing,…
