Warm and cool, the rays of sunlight glow against the blooming flowers in the green grass which sways and blows in the breeze. Along the slides and climbing frames, the children run about joyfully in their summer clothes. Ding a ling a ling. Bright and colourful the ice cream van parks up on to the road. All of a sudden, everyone is running towards it and there is a long queue going up to the park gates, the worker looks tired and flustered as she tries to serve all her customers quickly.
Somewhere in the park you can hear the distant barks and the odd chirping as birds fly over. The mild fragrance of apples and pears beginning to grow on the big bold oak tree as summer begins. As it droops over a couple having a picnic; happily and peacefully they giggle as they eat sandwiches and drink sparkling water. A petite, cute girl runs up to her daddy, “Daddy, daddy will you come play with me?” she says. Instantly he grabs her in his arms and gives her a big warm cuddly hug, and lifts her into the air spinning her round and round like a Ferris wheel. Once she is put down they run off to the playground.
Nearby, on the climbing frames a young boy swings merrily back and forth like a monkey. The young boy spots his mother and runs to her rapidly as if he hadn’t seen in months. They walk along to the big blue pond which lies underneath the wooden bridge that has algae grown all around it. Quack. Quack. Beautifully white and elegant, the swans waddle towards the eager children wanting to feed them. Quickly, the boy grabs the white bread off his mother and crumbles in into small pieces, throwing them into the pond. All the ducks go crazy with excitement, fighting each other for food. Amused, the children laugh as more bread is thrown.
Such a peaceful and relaxing day…could it be any better?
