Abstract: Recently, many researches has been carried out to save the energy in many aspects such as producing a device which consumes very less energy or designing a system which helps to reduce the power consumption using the existing devices. In this paper, a room light control system is proposed which is named as light control system (LCS). This proposed system will able to provide the needed light which provides the satisfaction of users and will provide energy saving and management. In this paper the Lighting Control System and the decision making algorithm, are discussed. As per the algorithm the system will first check any occupant is there in the room. If so then the system will check the intensity of light in the room and if it is low then it will switch on the light. Our proposed system can able to minimize the energy consumed for lighting in a room and can able to provide it efficiently. Keywords: Lighting Control system, Energy saving, LDR, PIR sensor

1. INTRODUCTION:
Power saving have became a necessary thing in our day to day life. Many conventional power saving methods such as using electrical devices which consumes very less energy or cutting off the entire power supply for a scheduled time for a particular area are not efficient and there will be a lot discomforts to the users and cost may also increase to use a low power electrical device. Buildings are responsible for up to 40% of energy usage. Most part of this energy is used mainly for maintaining good lighting such that the workers feel comfortable. Nowadays the newly constructed modernised or automated buildings may have lighting

In this system the number of persons present in the room (Person counter) can be included and also the data transmission from PIR sensor to microcontroller can be implemented through wireless such that the system will become a scalable one in the sense a single system can able to control a large number of rooms. Apart from these things the system can be upgraded to allow the users to configure the intensity of light in real time. www.ijcat.com 120

You might never have visited a sugar plantation or wheatgrowing farm, but you eat bread and sprinkle sugar on your breakfast cereal, so producing these foods seems quite understandable. What is “hidden” is that farming (in general terms) uses vast quantities of fertilizers, pesticides and other chemicals which are the products of an “invisible” chemical industry. We do not generally buy and use chemicals such as sulfuric acid, sodium hydroxide, ammonia, or 1,3-butadiene, so we don’t appreciate that these chemicals are consumed in vast quantities to manufacture the everyday things we use and need. This topic will give you a glimpse of that “invisible”, underlying industry which is vital to all the others...…

In today’s world, people are more concerned about saving the environment than they have been in the past, and the choices that they make today about the light bulbs in their homes can play an important role in the future of the environment. Light bulbs are an every day object in homes across the World today and range from the less energy efficient incandescent light bulbs (normal light bulbs), the more energy efficient compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs, and the most energy efficient light emitting diode (LED) bulbs. In order to help save the environment people need to make the change to energy efficient lighting, which will also help them save money, and even though they need to be recycled, the process is easy.…

New technologies in energy efficiency bring with it better ways to bring artificial light into a commercial building. Not only does energy efficient lighting make sense financially for a business, but it also makes the work environment safer as well. Lighting for the exterior of the building and areas such as parking garages can use LED lights that provide an added layer of security for employees so they can traverse these areas without worry. The interior of a commercial building can also use soft lighting options that are easier on the eyes of the people inside but still provide…

The conversion of electrical energy into radiant energy is relied on inelastic scattering of electrons inside the tube. Low pressure mercury vapor is injected into the tube. When the tube is connected to electricity, electrons emitted from the tube by the high temperature filament. The electrons moving in collide with the mercury atoms. Such collisions transfer kinetic energy in electrons to the mercury atoms. By absorbing this extra energy, the outermost shell electron in mercury atoms jump to a higher energy state, which is unstable to stay. A photon is emitted and this excited electron moves back to its original position. According to Planck’s law,…

In the current system, maximum lightning over the freeways is completed through HID (High Intensity Discharge lamps), the energy utilization of HID lamps/lanterns are high. The intensity of HID lamps cannot be controlled, in harmony to the necessity, therefore there is a requirement to swap to a substitute way of illumination system i.e., by making use of LEDs. This lighting system is constructed to conquer the disadvantages of High Intensity Discharge lamps.…
