Desiree's Baby Literary Analysis
In the fictional story “Desiree’s baby” written by Kate Chopin is about a complicated love story between Desiree and Armand who seem to live a perfect life but, it will collapse over time because of the birth of their child. The marriage was so bad that in the story it really foreshadows Desiree’s death.
Earlier in the story the reader learns that their marriage was starting to fall apart when “Armand absented himself from home” which was one hint that lead to Desiree’s death since she was left without support. Another clue that lead to her death was when Chopin wrote that “she laughed hysterically” at Armand which made it a little more evident that she might end up killing herself or something since she’s had enough of being left alone.
