Destination Management: The Importance Of Tourism In Chiitwan National Park
1. Introduction
Tourism is travel of people for leisure, pleasure, family or business purpose usually for certain duration away from their usually environment. Tourism has become a popular global leisure activity. Tourism can be domestic or international, which helps in major sources of economic for many countries.¬¬¬
People travel for a different reason to explore, understand, participate, education etc, at the certain places is called the destination. The “destination” refers to the place that people travel/visit makes a special trip where the economy may be significantly influenced by the tourism revenues. It was established in 1973. It covers an area of 932 km2 (360 sq mi) and is lies in the subtropical lowlands or Inner Terai of southern central Nepal on the international border with India. In altitude it ranges from about 100 m (330 ft) in the river valleys to 815 m (2,674 ft) in the Churia Hills. The park has gained much wider recognition in the world when UNESCO included this area on the list of World Heritage Site in 1984.
Formerly, the Chit wan valley was well known for big game and was exclusively managed as a hunting reserve for the Rana Prime Ministers and their guests until 1950. In 1963, the area south of Rapti was demarcated as a rhinoceros sanctuary. In 1970, His late Majesty King Mahendra had approved in principle the creation of Chitwan National Park.
Chitwan National far is approximately 90km southwest from Kathmandu (about 160km away by road).Sauraha is a small located just outside of Chitwan National Park.It has a large Selection of accommodation tour agencies and restaurants. This is most likely the first stop when visiting Chitwan National Park.

Surveys on visitor/ tourist preference can produce fruitful result or not, but bringing a huge number of benefits to management research could helps to understand the demand of trained of management of the place.

The study is concentrated to the positive as well as the negative impacts on all the elements of the society. To satisfy this purpose of the study, the following subsidiaries objectives have been taken into consideration.
To find out the major tourism attraction of Chitwan National Park.
To explore the accommodation available in Chitwan.
To find out the situation and availability of Transportation.
To explore the general awareness about the Tourist and Tourism.
To find out the extra facilities which are provide to tourist?
