: IT’S ANALYSIS

Chapter I
The Problem
I. Introduction: This chapter presents the background of the analysis, its significance and scope. Over the years, there had been growing concerns regarding the tourist destination in the Philippines. This study will be focusing on the three major destinations in Antipolo City, the famous Antipolo Cathedral, Hinulugang Taktak and the Via Dolorosa. The main reason why most tourist visit this province is for religious purposes. Most of it happens during the Holy Week were the well know “alay lakad” take place. Many religious people visit the Via Dolorosa or formerly known as the White Cross which is said to reflect the passion, death and resurrection of Christ. Hinulugang Taktak that was famous for its beautiful falls that has made many tourists amaze.
II. Statement of the Problem: A. What are the different effects of these destinations to the people within the vicinity?
1. What are the economic effects of having a tourist destination to the people surrounding it?
2. What are the social effects of a tourist destination to the people surrounding it?
3. What are the environmental effects of a tourist destination to the people living in that area?
B. What are the effects of having people living near a tourist destination?
1. Does having people living near the place causes negative effects to the tourist destination?
2. Do the people surrounding the area help build, rehabilitate and/or preserve its state?
III. Hypothesis
A. The tourist destination does not affect the locals in any aspect whatsoever.
B. The tourist destination affects the locals in many ways.
C. The locals does not affect the tourist destination what so ever.
D. The locals have an effect to the tourist destination, in a negative and positive way.
IV. Significance of the Study
It is significant that we study the three most visited destination in Antipolo to help rehabilitate and also to prevent further damage to it. Many are saddened because of how dilapidated most of the tourist destinations because of how local people and tourist have affected it. The result of this study may even be able to catch the attention of many people and chances are most of those whose eyes have seen it and are concerned to help rebuild these destinations can help bring it back to its former glory.
V. Scope and Limitations: This research will focus on about how local people and tourist affect the destinations. Are they able to help or make it worse? How one should act to protect and preserve these places and will the recreation and care of these places possible, and how will it be in the future. It also includes the effects of the destination in the businesses surrounding, how it is done and its center.
