REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE Cold drinks are composed of alcohol, carbohydrates, carbon dioxide, phosphate ions etc. These soft drinks give feeling of warmth, lightness and have a tangy taste which is liked by everyone. Carbon dioxide is responsible for the formation of froth on shaking the bottle. What we wanted to aim is the comparative and qualitative analysis of Coke, Sprite, and Royal. We tested the Comparative pH , Carbon Acid and Glucose content of different soft drinks. Since soft drinks like Coca-Cola, Royal and Sprite are common beverages that Filipinos like to drink, It is usually sold in a lot of stores and markets. (This beverages taste sweet and has a tangy feeling in your throat when drank.) Coca cola is a carbonated drink. Its content are Sucrose, Caffeine, Phosphoric Acid, Caramel color, and natural flavorings. We firstly tested the pH value of the different drinks. The Coca cola’s litmus paper from blue changed its color; we determined that it is an acid. When we tested the Carbon Acid of each, the Coca-Cola has a rapid change when we added the Limewater compared to the other drinks. The last is we tested the Glucose of it by adding Benedict’s reagent and heated it for at least 2 mins. We observed that the Coca-Cola’s color changed to Reddish brown and indeed it has high sugar content than the others. Sprite is a colorless, lemon-lime flavored, caffeine-free soft drink. The sprite’s litmus paper from blue changed its color to red and therefore, its also an acid. The sprite has slightly changed when we added Limewater, its color became translucent. The last is we tested the Glucose of it by adding Benedict’s reagent and heated it for at least 2 mins. We observed that the Sprite’s color changed into Yellowish color. Royal is a carbonated fruit drink. It is composed of Carbonated water, sugar and/or high Fructose Corn syrup, Citric Acid, Stabilizer, Sodium Benzoate, Sequestrant, flavors, emulsifier,
