Devin Udall In As Good As It Getss
Melvin Udall is the main character of the 1997 film called As Good as It Gets that is directed by James L. Brooks. Melvin has an obsessive-compulsive disorder and also known to be a hateful man that insults everyone he sees. The cause for this particular disorder is unknown in the movie but there are many biological, psychological, and sociocultural theories that explain the causes. For instance, it can be due to abnormalities in the brain, maladaptive thoughts or behavior, or poor relationships with others. Some of his obsessions and compulsions are locking the door and flipping the switch five times, avoiding stepping on cracks and lines, following his strict routine, and trying to be really clean by taking long showers and wearing gloves.

Yoga hosers is the newest film by Kevin Smith, who himself, stated that it is ‘the stupidest movie he has ever made', which I and along with every other human being that has seen it, agrees with him. Yoga hosers is the second film in Kevin Smith's 'true north' trilogy, the first being Tusk, that weird AF film about some guy that gets turned into a walrus, and the third and last being Moose Jaws, which is basically Jaws but with a moose. The film stars Kevin Smith’s daughter Harley Quinn Smith, and Johnny Depp’s daughter, Lily-Rose Depp. In Yoga Hosers, Kevin Smith tries (and fails) to entertain his fans and audiences with this original and bizarre film.…

Of all the disturbances being listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV-TR)1 only a few of them have not yet been portrayed in films. Taking that interest into account, it is necessary to reflect on the vision of mental disturbances that has been transmitted by cinema to the public in general. For most average citizens the only contact they may have with the psychiatric reality is through cinema; hence, films are their one - yet strong -…
