The dust is yet to settle on the diplomatic row between India and the US over the arrest and prosecution of Indian deputy consul Devyani Khobragade in New York for the violation of
US immigration laws. While the US has maintained the arrest and prosecution is in accordance with international law, Indian authorities insist it is in breach of international law norms, since at the time of her arrest, Khobragade enjoyed immunity from arrest and/or prosecution.
