In the supplies aspect, we have divided into two aspect of supplies, cleaning supplies and guest supplies. In cleaning supplies, these supplies are used as cleaning the hotel’s area frequently, we always use them when room attendant and public area attendant are cleaning the guest room and public area. For example, all-purpose liquid cleaner, we use it to clean most surface. Moreover, the glass cleaner and carpet cleaning chemicals, we use them to clean windows, glass, and mirrors and the carpets and floors respectively. These supplies will consume in a high speed. Therefore, we have to keep several number of cleaning supplies in our storeroom. On the other hand, we have guest supplies. The guest supplies are used to conducive to the guest’s material comfort and convenience. For example, we have toothbrush, shower gel, pillow cases, etc. These supplies need to change every time after the customers have checked out, so our hotel needs many guest room supplies to keep in the storeroom.

The time period from 1775 to 1830 was full of changes. The United States was developing into its own country, with its own freedoms. As the government began to settle, the issue of slavery was ever present. Nobody was quite sure of how to handle slavery. While some people fought to have slavery abolished, others completely opposed the idea of no longer having slaves. It was during this time period that many slaves managed to gain their freedom; however slavery as an institution continued to expand. Even though the many states passed laws outlawing the practice of slavery, the slave trade in the states that still allowed slavery grew immensely.…

Mr. Harrison’s research covering a 12-month period of the school’s supply management activity revealed that $57,000 was spent for office supplies—and that the requisitioning, invoicing, and related check issuing frequency for these purchases was uneconomical. Mr. Harrison discovered that much of the time spent maintaining the office supply store involved mailroom personnel. Their daily responsibilities included putting away items received, filling campus orders, and pricing each item for accounting. Since most standard items were held in inventory, supplies…

The second variable factor for a fitness center would be toiletry items. The amount of soap, hand sanitizer, tissue, and disposable hand towels will vary based on the number of members a fitness center has as well as the business those members bring. A fitness center should keep inventory to avoid over-spending and ordering items that will not be used. If membership declines at a fitness center, management should be aware and carefully watch the portion of their budget that is spent on toiletry items. Fewer members will equate to less usage and need of soap, hand sanitizer, tissue, and disposable hand towels. However, if business increase at a…

Postmodernism greatly impacted Jewish literature and Jewish authors’. “The instincts of self-preservation, of self-defense, of pride, had all deserted us. In one terrifying moment of lucidity, I thought of us as damned souls wandering through the void, souls condemned to wander through space until the end of time, seeking redemption, seeking oblivion, without any hope of finding either.” (Night) World War II was an extremely difficult time for Jewish authors and their works. Long after prelims and midterms week have ended, pre-finals and finals have taken its way to its last. Since the first two months of discussing the topics covered by the course subject THM 56 with the descriptive title of Hospitality Management & Operational Management/ Introduction to HRM, I have come to know lots of information pertaining to running and operating a hotel in a competitive tourism industry from its organization to its administration. The history of the first and most famous hotels before and the Front Office was quite an interesting fact. Now going to the recent topic covered by the semifinals and finals which is the Housekeeping Department and F & B Department, I started to realize that it is not an easy to task to be in those departments because of its high volume pressure working environment. Even though the general public tends to think of the housekeeping as the department that makes the bed, empties the ashtrays and wastebaskets, tidies up the bathroom and leaves fresh towels. The truth of the matter is that it takes more manpower to accomplish housekeeping’s almost countless functions than those of any other department in the hotel. Housekeeping’s responsibilities may begin with fabrics, and progress to the selection and purchase of all furniture and furnishings. It encompasses not only their cleaning but also their maintenance, repair, refurbishment and eventual replacement. Furthermore, even the seemingly simple cleaning functions are not simple at all. It involves more than cleaning the sleeping, eating, meeting and washrooms areas which means the grim job of cleaning the grease coated vents over kitchen ranges and fry kettles, the delicate job of cleaning switchboard equipment, and perhaps, the never ending job of cleaning the thousands of crystals used in chandeliers. Isn’t it tough?…
