Diageo is a British multinational alcoholic beverages company headquartered in London, UK.
Diageo is the worlds leading premium drinks company with a large range of beverage alcohol across the collection of spirits, wine and beer.
Diageo's beverage brands include: * Smirnoff * Baileys * Johnnie Walker * Captain Morgan * J&B

The word Diageo comes from the Latin for day (dia) and the Greek for world (geo). We take this to mean every day, everywhere, people celebrate with our brands.
The History
Diageo is a relatively new company, formed in 1997 with a merger between Guinness plc and Grand Metropolitan plc(public limited company). The creation was driven by the executives Anthony Greener and Philip Yea at Guinness plus George Bull and John McGrath of Grand Metropolitan. Shares in Diageo began trading on the London Stock Exchange on 17 December 1997.
They did not begin wholly alcohol based, before 2002 Diageo also owned Burger King which was sold to the American based company Texas Pacific for $1.5 billion.
Also they sold Pillsbury, a baking company, to General Mills in 2000
The Board of Directors * As Diageo is a plc company they have a 10 strong board of directors. * The managing director of the company in Russia since September 1, 2011 — Stephen Morley (Stephen Morley) who has replaced on this post of John O'Kiff (John O’Keeffe) who directed Diageo business in Russia and region for 4 years.
DIAGEO in Russia * On December 18 2008 Diageo declared the redemption of 25 % of shares of JSC D Distribyyushen from the Russian partner — the A1 companies (enters into "Alfa Group“- owner of vodka brand Smirnov). * As a result the Diageo company received complete control over sales of the alcoholic beverages in Russia and became the individual owner of the vodka Smirnov brand. * Surprisingly but Diageo refused sales in Russia of own Smirnoff vodka.
