Dialectical Journal For Twilight Chapter 7
Chapter 1

“So Dark, What’s the mission today?” he asked. “Well, today, we are going out on our own to make sure that we have enough materials. Light, you know this,” Dark answered.
It was the truth, it was the same mission every day. Try and get into separate bodies. The only way to do this was to get to the Sage of Dawn the Shadow of Twilight. It wasn’t going to be hard at all, it wasn’t like they would have to get three spiritual stones, the ability to survive in any heat, breath in water, summon shades, tame animals, travel through time, speak to the gods that each of the different races believed in, slay the demons that resided in the temples that the Sage and Shadow lived in, pass into the light and dark realms, beat a few monsters

It was his burden to bear. In the middle of the night, in the throes of madness and panic-inducing despair, it would whisper to him; it would make him into doing unspeakable things. In his satchel were many treasures wrought from long-lost civilizations, cunning salesmen, and expert craftsmen he had met over the years of his travels. The bag had seen better days and it was covered with the years of the road. The young man did not carry much on his travels but the bare essentials for living; one would definitely call into question why he bothered carrying superfluous baggage such as the mask contained within the satchel. He would just smile at the innocuous question and walk …show more content…
He ants he saw from the ruins. It looked like ants had swarmed the country side. It was an army, one the world had never seen the likes of before. It stretched onward towards the horizon as far as the eye could see; there seemed to be no end to this horde. Even at his great altitude, he couldn’t see the end of this monstrosity of an army. A few weeks' time and they will be at Lanel’s doorstep. "I know what you propose my old friend, but it will not be I who will be wearing you. I know I cannot control you and for that I must decline," he said, “You are obedient to no one. You cannot be trusted and cannot be worn, unless he comes along to stop you. You have destroyed entire civilizations just because you wished to. You thought it was merely a thing that anyone

We've recently watched the movie 23 Skidoo both in class and on our own time at home. When I first saw it in class, I was a bit confused and I didn't really understand what was happening in the film. After re-watching it, I understood that it is a film about a post-nuclear bomb explosion. What's different about this movie is that there is no narrative, or actors, but there is music. I find that it makes you concentrate more on what's happening in the film because no one's explaining it to you. The music featured in the film wasn't continuous. It made the setting more mysterious because sometimes, the music would be almost scary sounding, and you'd think that something was about to happen. It made me create other scenarios…

He smoked his last cigarette… As Nat's wife is trying to put the children to sleep, Nat decided to try the wireless one more time to see if there might be any broadcast. "What are you doing?" Nat's wife asked Nat, "I'm checking the wireless one last time for any broadcast" All to be heard from the small speaker was a scratchy irritating noise, "Nothing." After the children fell asleep, Nat and his wife were discussing what they were going to do, when suddenly the noise of the birds stopped. Realizing that the tide had risen, Nat got his shoes on and prepared another trip to the Triggs farm for some more supplies. On his drive over he heard a soft humming noise coming from the east. After a few minutes had passed, the noise had grown…

I was only a member of the Fallen Lamb for a few nights at the time, but never had I seen the sea as beautiful as it was then. She glistened a deep blue, and clashed against the hard wood of the ship, waves rising until it hit the hull then falling back into the sea. Getting used to the constant rocking of the ship was incredibly difficult at first, but I managed to retain my balance after a week or so. Anyways, I made my way to the main deck, passing through the kitchen first so I could grab a bite to eat. All we had left for breakfast were apples that were once fresh, but old and bruised now.…

In the first section “A Whisper of Angels” Nicholas and Henry keep there feelings hidden because the society that they live in does not socially except two men having that kid of affection for each other. As I read in the first chapter “Henry had been my best friend since childhood” (Florida pg. 3-8) Nicholas and Henry have been best friends since they were little boys so they were very close . Nicholas recently lost his father so he still is mourning his death and Henry is always there for him emotionally. Emily's iron- gray hair has chronological significance in the story. First, the hair belongs to Emily, who had sometime slept on the bed beside Homer Baron's dead body, near where it was found. This term “Iron-Gray” had only lied within passage 4 in paragraph 6 when the narrator describes changes in appearance of Emily: “During the next few years, it grew grayer and grayer until it attained an even pepper-and-salt iron- gray, when it ceased turning”(Faulkner, 4.6) this happened during the period of 6 or 7 years when she gave out china-painting lessons after Homer disappeared. Second, the phrase “Iron- gray hair” has connotations that can be applied to the story. The word: “Iron” could mean stubborn, or iron willed. Stubborn is definitely a describing word for Emily. The group of narrators describes a time when Emily came to pick up a bottle of Arsenic from the general store: “Why, of course”, the druggist said, “if…

They are constantly judging the native on the most miniscule aspects almost as though the amplify the common things flaws that everyone have just because they aren’t the same. One native is shot dead and even as he lays dying he doesn’t mutter a sound.
