He meets Hanz – Hanz offers him a certificate to say he is indispensable to the war effort, so will not have to enlist in the army. Unofficially a spy for the resistance (Treason). Bonhoeffer thinks he sold obey Hitler because Hitler was elected and so must be right. Hanz thinks Hitler has perverted the law so the law should not be obeyed “Hitler should be killed.”
