Difference Between Classical And Modern Day Heroes

Classical and modern-day heroes are both two very different things. A classical hero is somebody who slays something to benefit just themselves or others. A modern day hero is somebody that does something to benefit others just because they are kind. They are very different. A classical hero is somebody who slayed something to benefit themselves and others. Most classical heroes fit the hero's journey. That is the journey that a classical hero takes. They start off in the ordinary world and then get the call to adventure. They then usually get a mentor or aid they will teach them something or give them something that will benefit them. Something like that would be when link gets his first sword from an old in The Legend Of Zelda. They then cross the threshold which is when they step into a new world or place they do not know of. They then usually fight something and lose. Then they hit death and rebirth That is when they get a second chance. After that they learn more and change their ways and after that they challenge the beast and finally win. They then return with something or more knowledge. A lot of older characters fit that storyline but modern heroes do not.
This will usually involve no fighting. That means that they do not use force to get their point across. They like to use actual points to make people want to be on your side just because of your evidence instead of force. According to Christopher Reeve “A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles.” That means that it is less about their physical attributes but actually more about who they are as a person, which makes sense because they do not need any advantages they are just good people.
