Store it right: Look for a dark, cool but not too dry corner in your house and keep the bottles on their bellies to prevent cork – related problems.
Left over wine: For saving leftover wine find a small container for it and pour till the wine comes up to the rim. Now cork the bottle so that some wine does spill out- this ensures that there is absolutely no air within the container to degrade the wine. Store the container in refrigerator but do drink it up within a week.
Colour Hue: Hold the glass of wine against the light and look at it carefully. Most wines are vivid in colour and change their hue when they are exposed to light. There is no right or perfect colour for wine. Now hold it against the white cloth to observe the colour more carefully. You’ll immediately be able to discern if its robe(body colour) is pale or dark. A pale robe would mean pink for red wine and amber for white. A darker one means red, maroon and ruby for red wine and gold for white.
