It can be argued that political parties now actually have more political differences within the parties than between them this can be argued due to the fact that both the Democrat and the Republican parties have their conservative and liberal/moderate wings. For example the Democratic Party is divided into groupings such as the southern conservative Democrats with conservative views on most social, economic and foreign issues whereas the northern liberal democrats such as the late Kennedy, with liberal views on policy issues, and from 1980s the ‘New Democrats’ as well as Gore’s Democratic Leadership Council, highlighting a variety of differences within a political party in America. Similarly the Republicans have also been internally divided, having a variety of splits to do with social and fiscal conservatives, compassionate conservatives and neo conservatives. Therefore the Republican Party is often split between its more conservative and more moderate wings of the party.…

The United States party system began in 1789 before George Washington was elected to presidency with the formation of the Federalist Party founded primarily by Alexander Hamilton. The name eventually changed to the Republican Party during the Era of Good Feelings. From here, there was a split in politics and the two party system emerged with the National Republican Party and the Democratic Republican Party. From there, the National Republican Party transformed into the Whig Party which opposed the Democratic Party, later known as the Democratic Republican Party. Despite a near infinite combination of political identities most of America falls under one of two groups, the Democratic Party or the Republican Party. Naturally, with more than 320 million citizens divided into two parties their opinions will vary, but there are many distinct differences between Democrats and Republicans. Some of the many heated debates between the two parties are on the topics of military spending, immigration, and gun control. The majority of Democrats want to lower military spending, accept illegal immigrants, and limit the abilities of American citizens to own firearms.…

Republicans recognize that our nation is enriched by immigrants seeking a better life. In many cases immigrants have fled violence and oppression searching for peace and freedom. All suffered and sacrificed but hope for a better future for their children in America. Republicans agree that the lack of security along our borders has contributed to the flow of narcotrafficking, gang violence, and the yearly forced servitude and slavery of over 50,000 women and children from foreign countries by human smugglers. While our nation has been enriched by the determination, energy, and diversity of immigrants, Republicans believe that in this nation of laws, immigration policies should be followed and that securing our borders is vital to ensuring the safety of our citizens.…

If I were to vote in this upcoming election I would chose to vote for the democratic party. I agree with much of what it is supporting and feel they treat everyone equally. The democratic party is a more liberal and social party than the republicans. They have a much more wide variety of people then republicans. Democrats are for equality and freedom. They support social programs to help society. They want to give money to schools to receive higher education, which many people would appreciate and would make our country more educated. The democrats support welfare and woman's rights. They want an equal and involved country. They republicans want to give the wealthy less taxes, where as the democrats believe…

During the early years of our nation, there was not a great deal of brotherly love, peace and agreement that could be found in the government. Two political parties had evolved that possessed interests that spanned both ends of every argument and political idea. The Federalists believed that the nation should have a very centralized government and stood firm that this would bring about the most order and prosperity. To the contrary, Republicans wanted the rights to stay with the people and States and therefore felt that the federal government should have little control to protect the rights of the people. Many historical documents record the struggles between the two parties. The main struggles revolved around three areas. The first area…

The difference between the Republicans and Democrats, explains Oklahoma Representative J.C. Watts who is a Republican, is that the republicans believe people are instinctively bad at heart, while Democrats believe people are instinctively good at heart (Leonard 2015). While this isn’t necessarily the greatest explanation between the two, there is some truth to it. Democrats are more prone to implementing policies or programs to fix solutions, while republicans deal more with the people that are having the problem. A few of the main differences between the two parties stem from ideas on taxes; republicans believing in tax cuts across the board while democrats believe that taxes should be higher depending on one’s income (Elaneor ?? 2016). Republicans tend to lean more to the conservative side opposing the issues of gay marriage and abortion but are for gun rights while democrats tend to be more liberal favoring gun control, gay marriage, and abortion.…

The Republican Party has over 55 million registered voters, comprising of over thirty percent of the United States population. Of course, it is impossible to form a party so that everyone fits, I think that the Republican Party does a fairly well job in creating a mold that includes thirty percent of the United States and I am a part and support and agree, to an extent, their ideas and platform. Some of the Republican Party’s stances on popular debates that I support are as follows: opposes gun control, opposes government regulated healthcare, and supports lower taxes.…
