There were several similarities between the book and the movie. One way they were alike was Joetta thinks that the angel does not look like her because the angel is white and she is African American. Another similarity between the two was Kenny believes that if he stays behind the couch long enough, the “magic” will work to get rid of his depression. A final comparison was when they see the notebook their mom made and…
People who have viewed both The Giver and The Truman Show have definitely made some comparisons. Firstly, neither of the two had given their consent before being chosen for their specific role. In the book, “The Giver,” Jonas is picked by the elders to fill in…
Movies and books are always different; in a movie you can show multiple characters, and in most books you're stuck in one character's narrative. For instance in the book The Giver the character Fiona doesn’t care about Jonas as deeply as she does in the movie. In the movie she stops her injections, and she starts to love Jonas. However in the book she only “enjoys having Jonas’s company”. In the movie she also helps Jonas steal Gabe before he is killed, and she is put in the community jail for helping him. Before she is going to be released she talks about how she has felt things. That she knows what it is like to truly feel, and in the book she isn’t this unorthodox.…
More examples of the book and the movie being the same would be the characters and how the main character Cassie narrated. A book gives more details then a movie does. There were a lot more differences in Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry then sames. An example would be that Lillian Jean and Jeremy in the book were a Simms but in the movie they were a Wallace. Another…
There are some similarities between the book and the movie. For example, one way the book and movie are the same is that they both take place in the future. This means that…
Many years from now there lies a community free from pain and suffering. Yet, it is trapped with no love or color and there is no freedom or choices. Memories of these things are all but gone except for the ones that were passed on to the Giver. The Giver decides to share his memories with a boy named Jonas. Jonas wants to share the memories with the other members of the community so they can understand things such as killing is wrong. This adventure packed mysterious tale of life without memories was originally written as a novel and later adapted to a movie. The book and movie have many differences yet they are also the same in many ways.…
There are some movies that are adapted from the novel such as Harry Potter, Da Vinci Code, Twilight Saga, The Hunger Games and Lagenda Budak Setan. What are the differences between watching a movie and reading a novel? There are some contrasts between the two actions. One of the differences is by watching a movie, you just need to sit and relax. It is very easy since you only need to watch it and understands it. Furthermore, you can watch the movie while doing something else such as eating or exercising. You do not really have to focus like to imagine how the atmosphere is in the movie at that time or how a person is walking down the streets. Lastly, you can avoid disbelief since it is a multi-sensory experience. On the other hand, by reading…
The movie itself is very much different from the book. The story was also changed with some of the plot. The movie and the book are both still following the same story line. Along with the same ending. This is what I have noticed between the movie and the book.…
In the book they made small changes to certain things that affected the mood of the story. First they changed the daily pill to a injection, this made it harder for Jonas to avoid taking it because he had to put its blood on the apple and scan the apple without being caught. Another change is that Jonas, Fiona and Asher were all 16 in the movie instead of 12. This made the characters maturer and that the relationships made more sense. Also when the Giver would give memories to Jonas he would have to put his hands on his back but in the movie they only had to be touching hands. This probably was a change because of time and because it's easier just having to hold someone's hands.his combines with another change that instead of the future gibbers…
Both the book and the movie are very different, they have lots of similarities and differences. The Setting, Plot and Characterisation are three parts that the book and movie can be compared.…
They both are similar ,because they both talk about the same people and tell the same story. The book has several differences than the movie like dally dying instantly after being shot by the fuzz ,Johnny’s mom yelling at pony and two-bit those are just a couple of differences in the two there are several more though.…

There are many similarities between the book Giver and the movie Giver. The movie and the book had the Giver stay back to help everyone in the community like he trained Jonas to be the next receiver. The book and the movie both have Gabe staying at the Jonas house in the beginning of the movie and the book. In the book Giver and the movie Giver Jonas had the same rules to follow in his job of being the Giver. In both the book Giver and the movie Giver everyone chanted the person's name that was going to be released after the ceremony. Finally, in both the book and movie the Giver told Jonas that Rosemary was his daughter.…
There are actually a lot of similarities in the movie and the book but most are very small and not easily noticed. What you have to understand when looking at a movie or reading a book based on the same story is that it is basically impossible to have everything due to the facts that they are portrayed by two…
The Giver In the quiet night, four policemen pursue a fleeing suspect. Suddenly he jumps into the abyss. In the book the giver, I thought the book was more interesting because because even though the book had less action. In the movie, asher was a drone pilot, but in the book he was a recreations director.…
