The three clusters that I chose are extraversion, openness to experience, and conscientiousness. Extraversion is really a family of related smaller traits (such as sociability, warmth, and excitement seeking), all sharing a resemblance to each other, but each carving out something of its own identity within the broad family constellation (McAdams, p157). Openness to experience involves imagination, innovation, independence, and curiosity. Conscientiousness includes self-discipline, responsibility, reliability, organization, and perception.…

I am very outgoing and sometimes consider myself to be very talkative, even when people tell me to be quiet I cannot help it. That is just the type of person I am. I like to be heard even if I am the only person listening to myself my brain is always running and developing new thoughts and ideas to discuss with other people. Whenever I am with my friends they are constantly telling me to be quiet because I never stop talking I just do not like it to be quiet. I feel that I am the life of the party I also do this at work with my co-workers I just like to talk I feel I have a mouth to express myself and be heard. Openness to experience I feel is another that describes me well because along with always thinking and talking I an very curious to know a little about everything. I feel that I can learn about different things forever, and that I can always learn how to do something I already know a different more efficient way. Curiosity never hurt anyone I believe the world is full of many mysteries and we must unlock and discover them to learn what they are. I also find myself building thing without the instructions not because I do not need them, but because I am curious to see if I can create what I am building without them. Even if I do not know something on a subject I will sometimes act as if I do because I want to see how gullible people are, and I also know many facts about everything so it is easy to believe me. Using agreeableness I would consider myself to be ruthless and soft-hearted why, because I tend to be easygoing and am kind to people I know, but if I do not know you I am not going to be nice to you. Do not get me wrong though even with people I know I can turn on if they give me a good cause to snap on them. People who hitch for rides I…

The second trait and arguably the most important trait are time management skills. You have to schedule whatever you need to schedule in order for everything to get done. You could also schedule events or meetings with enough time to take a 30 minute break or schedule time for them to reflect on themselves. That’s not a necessity to have, but sometimes that will invoke motivation into a person and get them on the right track. Usually, if we are done with everything on Thursday, we would have a civilian clothes day on Friday, in the military.…

In modern psychology, the “Big Five” Personality Traits are five categories of personality that are used to describe human personality and the behaviors in which they differ from each other. Some researchers have concluded that adult personality change is genetically influenced. Researchers say individual differences in the “Big Five” traits are large and highly stable and, an adult scoring high or low at a certain age is likely to do the same at another age, with intervals of three to 30 years’ time (Costa & McCrae, 1994). In more than 150 longitudinal studies with more than 5000 participants, reanalysis showed personality trait stability improved during early and middle adulthood, peaking in the fifties (Roberts & DelVecchio, 2000). These traits are broad categories of personality traits and not all researchers agree on the names given. However, these five categories that remain stable throughout adulthood are: neuroticism, extroversion, openness to experience, agreeableness, and conscientiousness.…

Each individual has unique and distinct personality traits, which refer to the way someone behaves and feels. The basic idea of what a personality is refers to who we are and who we become. We are born with innate characteristics and the sum of our life experiences make up how we are. Relationships can also affect the personality of an individual. There are various complex theories about how a person’s personality is developed. This paper will discuss Raymond Catttell’s theory, certain personality characteristics about me and life experiences that may have contributed to how the traits were developed.…

The theory also examines how a person’s personality affects their choices, experiences, and the development of their skills. A person’s culture and genetics generally impacts the traits…
