MAXIS
Maxis Mobile Sdn Bhd began in the year 1993. Maxis is a Malaysian mobile network operator which headquarters are located at Kuala Lumpur. Maxis uses the ‘012’, ‘017’, ‘0142’ for the dialing pref ix identifier. They provided over 900 & 1800MHz GSM for the mobile services. The majority of the company’s stake was owned by Ananda Krishnan. .Maxis primarily operate almost around the Asia –pacific and they had total subscribers of 13.95 million as at December 2010.
Since the establishment, Maxis had been offered a full suite of services with multiple platforms to fulfill the needs of the telecommunications of an individual customer. , SMEs and large corporation customers in Malaysia. Maxis’ mobile services promote on a postpaid basis under the maxis brand and a prepaid services under the Hotlink brand. The two distinct brands were useful for underpinned by synergistic values, and enabled Maxis to open up its prepaid business successfully as well as maintaining the growth in its postpaid segment.
The headquarter of Maxis is located within the Menara Maxis which has a graceful 49 storey building contiguous to the Petronas Twin Tower Kuala Lumpur City Centre . The building is the headquarter of the Tanjong Plc Group of Companies, Maxis Communication Berhad and their correlative companies.
When Maxis Mobile Sdn Bhd moves into the Menara Maxis, maxis used the Cardax System (CC Unix) in 1998 which is owned and administrated by Tanjong City Centre Property Management. This building house had over 585 contactless Mifare Readers arounf the 49 floors and Visitor Tumstiles with some offices have some additional readers within their office premises for additional security.
