In our new digital world we along with our kids are learning more about how computers are taking us into the future. While computer are not without their issues, schools are making students take computer classes if they do not type well enough because computer skills make us wanted as an employee, people being able read and write emails, and use computers are becoming a career requirements in many fields of work. Computers are a wave of the future, it has been proven that reading, typing, and writing are now the most important skills people need to have just to get a job. Many businesses want their new employees to have the ability to type with little to no errors.
First, schools are making students take computer classes if they are not able to type accurately or well enough because computer skills will make people a wanted employee. Many of us did not think about these ideas when they were offering computer classes in our schools. When I was in a school computer typing classes were offered as electives, I however was not thinking about the direction that computers were heading at that time. When I went and applied for a job doing surveys they wanted me to be able to type a minimum of 40 words per minute with no errors. They paid by the hour, so they wanted as much work as they could get in each hour. There is a fact that not only is technology affecting the United States of America it is affecting other countries due to the fact that the internet is becoming a great source for locating information for reports and for students to use in class. There is so much information available on the internet if you just learn how to be digitally literate.
Additionally, people read and write emails every day. People do not realize how much it helps them to read and write emails on a daily basis. It makes their writing skills reach higher levels that they may not have reached otherwise. People
