Definition
• Speech sound beginning with one vowel sound and moving to another vowel sound within the same syllable. For example, oy in the word boy.
-In all diphthong the first part is much longer and stronger than the other part.

Triphthong
The most complex vowel sounds in
English.
It is a glide from one vowel to another and then to a third, all produced rapidly and without interruption.
It is composed of the five closing diphthongs gliding to the schwa.
