Section 1 Executive Summary
This report contains the findings of a detailed review into the Health and Safety Management System (HSMS) within Pencro Structural Engineering Limited (PSEL). I would like to thank all those concerned for their help and cooperation. The main findings of the report show that legal duties imposed upon PSEL are complex and currently not being fully complied with. Many strengths are evident within each element of the well established HSMS, however findings reveal existing gaps which highlight management neglect of crucial areas, which may account for the gradual decline of the company’s collective Health and Safety culture. 18 out of 20 employee’s surveyed felt management were not committed to Health and Safety.
