ABSTRACT Direct Billing System for Super Market

Large grocery stores are nowadays used by millions of people for the acquisition of an enlarging number of products. Product acquisition represents a complex process that comprises time spent in corridors, product location and checkout queues. On the other hand, it is becoming increasingly difficult for retailers to keep their clients loyal and to predict their needs due to the influence of competition and the lack of tools that discriminate consumption patterns. In this article it is presented the proposal of an architecture and solution of an innovative system for the acquisition of products in grocery stores (Intelligent Trolley). The Intelligent Trolley explores emerging automatic identification technologies (such as RFID) as a way to improve the quality of services provided by retailers and to augment the consumer value thus allowing to save time and money.
Direct Billing System for super market is based on super market. Existing System in super market is Customer have to picks up products from racks puts into Shopping cart and manually have to transfer at billing counter and manually billing by a person scanning all the products and payment. Our proposed system is Customer have picks up products from racks puts into shopping cart Scanner fitted on the shopping cart scans all products then shopping cart is connected with the billing counter. After connecting trolley with billing system one button has to be pressed and a print of bill comes out from the thermal printer. In this project we are changing the design of shopping cart. We are attaching bar code scanner and modem with shopping cart. In this project customer have to scan product manually. Our project is microcontroller and RFID based.

    Quad is a company which leases and services the plastic containers which are used from industries to grocers to transport the products. They are facing some difficulties with them supply chain and following processes for each container. SAVI proposes some new technologies to facilitate this tracking and the inventory management. So in my opinion, if I were SAVI, I would like to position the tracking technology to companies like Quad as a value-adding. The SAVI’s technologies will come for the other companies more like an advantage to improve their efficiency. Such technologies offer the possibilities to manage better the visibility of physical goods, to increase the supply chain efficiency and to facilitate the inventory’s management. The RFID technology adds value not only to the product but also to the QUAD Company. By using such service, they will increase the productivity and improve their products but also reduce the spendof-time. It is really a value—adding service. SAVI offers different kind of RFID tags: active or passive. The active tags are an evolution of the passive tags. They have the ability to transmit their location and other information like the time spending at the same place. Moreover they can be monitored by readers not far from them. So with all these capacities, it could be a great choice for QUAD to invest on this evolution. These ten steps are pre-register patients, establish financial responsibility, check in patients, review coding compliance, review billing compliance, check out patients, prepare and transmit claims, monitor payer adjudication, generate patient statements, and follow up payments and collections. When you bill a patient you want to be sure that you are not only doing it correctly but that you are charging or sending the bill to the right person whether it be the patient or the patients’ insurance company. With the ten steps to the medical billing process you want to make sure that you are doing it in the correct order. First you want to make sure that you are pre-registering the correct patient and that you are inputting their information as well as their insurance information in the system correctly. After this has been completed you are now able to schedule appointments for this patient. The next step in the process is to establish financial responsibility (who is paying for the medical bills), whether it be the patient or the insurance company. If the insurance company is assuming financial responsibility you want clarify what insurance plan the patient is falling under as well as what procedures are not covered and what financial responsibilities the patient may have (copayment). After all of this is complete, then comes checking in the patient. When checking in new patients, they need to fill out a detailed medical information sheet that will be kept on file and if they are not a new patient all they will do is review this sheet to see if anything has changed or needs to be updated. You also what to obtain a copy of their insurance card, both front and back and keep this on record as well. All medical diagnosis and procedures are given a medical code, these codes are extremely important when it comes to step four of the process, review coding compliance.…
